For The Parents

Weaver Center believes that nobody knows your child better than you.  You are an invaluable resource for understanding your child’s abilities and challenges.  From initial consultation, to evaluations, through treatment and advocacy, our clinicians encourage your input and participation.   

Children with academic, social and/or emotional difficulties present challenges for the whole family.  Their difficulties and the associated decrease in self-esteem can affect interactions with siblings and parents.  Parent Support Consultations are available, during which parents can discuss any concerns not included on the client information forms and get strategies for reducing and coping with the stresses of changing family dynamics. 
 
Family therapy sessions are provided, as well as check-ins.
